Spotify will increase its prices to around one billion users, as it invests in new functions, according to Financial Times, citing the co -president and commercial director of the music transmission supplier, Alex Norstrom.

The increases would be accompanied by new services and planned characteristics, Norstrom said in an interview cited by the FT.

Spotify did not immediately respond to a request for Reuters comments.

At the beginning of August, the Swedish firm said it would increase the monthly price of its premium individual subscription in some markets from September, since it seeks to improve profit margins. He said the price will increase to 119 euros ($ 145) from 109 euros in markets such as South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Asia and Pacific region.
