It’s a heck of a time to be a Star Wars fan, isn’t it? Over in the world of video games, we’ve got both Star Wars: Fate Of The Old Republic and Star Wars Jedi 3 on the horizon. But with both games yet to receive an actual release date, what’s a Star Wars fan to do while they wait? I’ve got some ideas.
If you’re looking to scratch the Star Wars RPG itch, Star Wars Genesis just got one of its biggest updates yet, cementing itself as one of the greatest Star Wars roleplaying experiences of all-time. This is a feature-packed update that completely changes the game once again, and is well worth your time.
What Is Star Wars Genesis?
You’ve probably seen it around
Star Wars Genesis has been around for a little while, but it really went viral over Christmas. For those who don’t know, it’s actually a total conversion modlist for Starfield, but one so massively detailed that you might never know it used to be another game. The project’s developer DeityVengy has just released version 8.6, and it is packed with new stuff.
You can take a look below for the full rundown, but highlights include a brand-new questline, new music, improved loading times, and even more converted cities. Oh, and while it’s not mentioned in the list below, lightsabers have finally been added to the game. Just in case you were holding off so you could play as a Jedi.

Star Wars Fans Can’t Miss This
Just remember it’s PC only
As much as I’d love to be able to play this myself, I should point out that Star Wars Genesis isn’t available on the Xbox Series X|S version of Starfield. While there are a few Star Wars mods that can be downloaded on Xbox via the console’s mod support, Genesis is just way too complicated, and getting more complicated with each passing update. As such, you’ll only ever be able to play it on PC.
If you do have a PC that can handle it, and you are a Star Wars fan, what are you waiting for? This could be the most fun you ever have with Starfield.
