Liliana San Martín Castillo, Secretary of Labor of Querétaro, announced that approximately 60% of the workers at the Michelin plant have already been separated from the company, according to a report from the agency Quadratín México.

This massive layoff is a consequence of the announcement of the closure of the plant, which implied the departure of 480 employees.

The official highlighted that support was given to workers to guarantee compliance with their labor rights and ensure that they received the corresponding compensation in accordance with current legislation.

He mentioned that most of the employees who left Michelin were able to get new job offers. In addition, several who were close to retiring chose to invest in new projects.
