Vecna, the Demogorgons and Once invade Mexico with ‘Stranger Things: The Experience’, the new physical adventure of the Netflix series that can be enjoyed in the Mexican capital starting this Saturday and in which fans will have access to exclusive recordings for the event with which they will feel like another resident of Hawkins.

“We understood that Mexico was the perfect city, because it has an important culture and consumption of series like Stranger Things. We know that Netflix has global power, but Mexico is very important in the market for them. It was a perfect match,” the CEO of DC Set Group, Rodrigo Mathias, original creator of the experience, argued to EFE this Thursday.

Located in the Expo Reforma venue, fans will enter the laboratories of the series, and through group games, videos shot by the original cast and even augmented reality recordings with which they will be able to interact and even defeat the most feared creatures in the series.

The arrival of this new experience occurs two weeks after the premiere of the first part of the last season of the production, which during its first days became the largest television debut in English in the history of the platform, only behind the South Korean ‘The Squid Game’.

To take advantage of the end of the series after ten years and five seasons, the creators and organizers of the event decided to extend the availability of the event from March to May, with which they hope to attract more than 200,000 people of all ages in the Mexican capital.

“Series and movies are becoming more and more relevant and it is very important to give fans of these series an experience that feels real with what they have seen in the series. They are very high-level productions,” explains the general director of the organizer Fever Mexico, Santiago Muñoz.

From the production of the event, the four floors used to house the experience stand out, with a first set in Hawkins where you can play in the protagonists’ favorite arcades, have an ice cream or pizza in the American ‘malls’ or take photos with the most famous sets of the production.

“Having an experience that is not simply where you enter, take some photos and then it’s over, here you enter and live like an actor, you are part of an episode in which you face Vecna. It is something unique,” says Mathias.

Tickets cost 616 pesos and are currently sold out for the first day of exhibition.
