Tesla’s robotaxi will have just two seats and butterfly-wing doors, and CEO Elon Musk is expected to talk about rolling out self-driving assistance software in articulated trucks, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday.

The billionaire would make the announcement when the electric vehicle maker unveils the robotaxi at a highly anticipated event on Thursday, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter.

However, the schedule for the deployment of the vehicle, dubbed Cybercab, is not yet known with certainty.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

Industry watchers and investors expect the company to announce a timetable for the vehicle’s launch and details about how it plans to attract customers to a potential low-cost travel app during the event.

“We should have more information about the production schedule and when it will be launched. We think it will take time, between six months to a year,” said Ken Mahoney, chief executive of Mahoney Asset Management, a Tesla investor.

Musk has also raised the possibility of Tesla owners letting their cars function as robotaxis when not in use.

Tesla’s “We, Robot” event, a likely allusion to Isaac Asimov’s iconic collection of science fiction stories, “I, Robot,” is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. local time (00:00 GMT Thursday). ) at the Warner Bros. Hollywood studio.
