The path to The Beach House begins like every trip that promises something special: with an intuition. The road to Tulum makes its way through the vegetation until it reveals a simple entrance, flanked by two palm trees that seem to guard a secret. From that first moment, you realize that this is not just another resort, but a refuge where luxury translates into calm and authenticity.

The lobby welcomes you with a perfect balance between warmth and sophistication: handcrafted pieces, natural textures and a piano that accompanies the atmosphere with discretion. Everything bears the imprint of the Xcaret Group, known for its aesthetic sensitivity and respect for Mexican culture.

With just 63 rooms, La Casa de la Playa is more of a sanctuary than a hotel. Every detail is designed with intention: vertical fountains with silently dancing jellyfish, Huichol art decorating the walls, handwritten letters, and private pools with ocean views. As night fell, a decorated box waited on the bed; inside, a book by Miguel Quintana Pali, founder of the group, whose story—made of work, vision and connection with the land—summarizes the essence of the place.

The morning begins with an awakening of light and sea. At the touch of a button, the curtains opened to reveal the turquoise immensity of the Caribbean. The breeze, the sound of the surf, and the comfort of the room created the perfect setting for a morning meditation. Afterwards, the gym—modern, spacious, overlooking the channel where the Xcaret yachts sail—completed the wellness ritual.

The day continues with a sensory tour through the corners of the hotel: a silent library named The secret placea cellar open 24 hours a day, a cocoa-scented chocolate shop and a spirits cellar where guests can help themselves freely. Everything is arranged with an unusual freedom: here luxury does not impose, it accompanies.

Between art, experiences and rituals

The tropical rain brings the day to the Xcaret Arte Hotel, to which guests have preferential access. There, art does not adorn: it lives in every wall, sculpture and stroke. On the way back, a secret wooden door connects both worlds — a perfect metaphor for the Xcaret universe: the union between the natural, the artistic and the human.

At night, one of the most exclusive moments of the trip arrives: the backstage tour of the Xcaret México Espectacular show. Backstage, the hallways vibrate with energy. The costume workshops, the characterization areas and the faces of the artists are discovered before the show. Reliving the show from that perspective was discovering the greatness behind the invisible.

On Sunday, the sun returns with all its intensity. Between lounge chairs, swings on the water and signature breakfasts in Tuch de Lunatime seems suspended. Later, the rooftop with its glass infinity pool offered a view so impressive that it seemed to float between the sky and the sea.

At sunset, the day culminates at Ha’, chef Carlos Gaytán’s restaurant, awarded with a Michelin star. A seven-course menu paired with precision, where each dish tells a story of origin, memory and Mexican modernity.

Before leaving, a last stop at the Muluk Spa. Inspired by the Mayan sign of water and renewal, its hydrotherapy circuit—between steam, stone and silence—closes the trip with the feeling of having returned to the origin.

At The Beach House you understand what quiet luxury means: not ostentation, but freedom. That of walking barefoot towards the sea, opening a bottle of wine whenever you want, listening to a piano without a time or letting the sound of the water set the rhythm of the day.

More than a hotel, La Casa de la Playa is a manifesto of conscious hospitality. A space where design, nature and attention intertwine to remind you of something essential: that true luxury is to feel, again, at home.
