The coffin of the conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, killed last Wednesday at a university event in the west of the US, arrived in Phoenix, a city where he lived, in the state of Arizona, between strong security measures and tributes to honor his memory.
After his landing last night at the Phoenix-Sky Harbor International Airport, Kirk’s body was taken from the Air Force Two, the US vice president’s plane, JD Vance, by uniformed military personnel.
Vance helped load the Kirk coffin of the aircraft to transfer it to the Hansen Mortuary Chapel funeral chapel, located in the north of the city where he forged closeness with the conservative community and the politicians of the place.
The vehicle that loaded its coffin was escorted by several vehicles and motorcycles of the US security forces.
While his body arrived, at the headquarters of the Kirk organization, Turning Point USA, located in southern Phoneix, congregated hundreds of people to pay tribute to the conservative activist, leaving US flowers, candles and flags in front of the doors of the facilities.
In the Dream City church, where the activist attended his prayers and organized every so often political rallies, dedicated a mass in honor of Kirk, which they described in a writing of “a passionate and a leading voice in defense of faith, freedom and biblical truth: a guide force for a generation that sought clarity in a complex world.”

Also the Arizona State University plans a vigil in honor of Kirk for next September 15 in the afternoon.
Kirk, 31, father of two children and widely known for having founded the conservative Turning Point organization, was a narrow ally of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, who announced that he will grant him posthumously the presidential medal of La Libertad, the largest civil decoration in the country.
The conservative activist received a shot in the neck last Wednesday while participating in a university debate against hundreds of people at the University of Utah Valley.
Trump has declared his intention to attend the funeral of Kirk, which will be held in Arizona, although the date and place is unknown.
