The top at the price of Magna gasoline reduced the price of fuel in different cities in the country, the Ministry of Energy (Sener) reported.
“From February to June 2025, the price of regular gasoline decreased by 2 percent, from 24.19 to 23.67 pesos per liter,” according to the first Government Report 2024-2025 delivered by the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) to the Congress of the Union.

According to the Government document of Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the containment strategy allowed to maintain regular gasoline prices below 24 pesos per liter, protecting the economy of families and avoiding abrupt increases.
To fulfill one of the 100 commitments of the Government of Mexico, on March 1, 2025, the “National Strategy to promote the stabilization of the price of gasoline” was implemented with the objective of limiting the increase in prices for the benefit of the population.
The entity led by Luz Elena González Escobar recalled that 82 work tables were held with market participants and sector institutions to address concerns and ensure the continuity of the strategy.
“Derived from these actions, more than 44 companies that represent 70 percent of the total service stations, joined the initiative,” said the Sener.
Gasoline is the most relevant product and between October 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025, its average monthly production reached 32 thousand barrels per day, which represents an increase of 16 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, when 278 thousand barrels were recorded per day.
The production showed a sustained upward trend during this period, from 256 thousand barrels per day in October 2024 to 438 thousand in June 2025, an increase of 71 percent.

Through the strengthening of the National Refining System (SNR), said the agency, crude oil processing and oil production within the country are prioritized to meet the domestic demand for fuels.
Between October 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025, crude oil processing increased by 52 percent, from 731 to 1,112 thousand barrels per day. As a result, gasoline production grew 71 percent in that same period, Sener reported.
The Olmeca refinery, said the Secretariat, reached a processing level of 197 thousand barrels per day in June 2025.
