Veterinary medicine has acquired a fundamental role in modern society, not only in the care of pets and production, but also in public health and food security. In this context, the School of Veterinary Medicine Professional Education (VEP) has established itself as one of the most innovative and prestigious institutions in the training of veterinary professionals in Mexico and Latin America.
Founded in 2009 in Chihuahua, Mexico, by Marco A. Gordillo Cervantes and Rafael Rodríguez Ang, VEP became the first private institution in the state to offer the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics with official recognition of the SEP. Its educational model combines advanced theory with intensive clinical practice and reduces the traditional duration of the race to only four years, an approach that allows students to join the labor field more agile and specialized.
The impact of veterinary medicine on society
Beyond animal care, veterinary medicine is key in the prevention of zoonotic diseases, the control of livestock production and the well -being of communities. VEP has assumed the responsibility of training ethical and highly trained professionals, aligning its mission with international best practices.
In a world where the relationship between humans and animals is increasingly narrow, VEP’s work is positioned as a pillar in high -level veterinary education, as it promotes innovation, social development and animal well -being throughout Latin America.
International expansion and continuing education
In response to global challenges and the growing demand for specialized education, in 2020 VEP launched its international virtual campus, led by PHD Leticia Gordillo de la O, offering 100% in line diploma with international recognition. Currently, it has students and teachers from countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Spain and even Kuwait.
The vep campus has 11 study classrooms, a modern and equipped operating room, avant -garde laboratory and an interactive digital platform, to provide students with innovative learning tools.
Aware of the constant evolution of veterinary medicine, VEP offers 13 different specialties in its catalog of international diplomas, including: internal medicine, veterinary urgencies, dermatology, imageology and veterinary oncology, among others. These programs are endorsed by organizations such as Concervet (Mexico) and Convetlat (Latin America), certifying an updated training and in accordance with the needs of the veterinary sector.
Through its combination of high -level academic training, an intensive clinical practice and its digital education without borders, Vep demonstrates that innovation in teaching can redefine the future of veterinary medicine. The institution not only prepares new veterinarians, but also strengthens animal welfare and public health throughout Latin America.
