The Dutch Army has announced that the Israeli government will buy more than 200 medium-range anti-tank missile launchers that will increase its combat range for an investment of 250 million euros ($277 million) from Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. Defense News reports.

The Dutch Army and Marines are reportedly planning to switch to Rafael’s Integrated Command Launch Unit, which can launch the Spike LR2 missile at a range of 5,000 meters. The report is based on a letter sent to the Dutch parliament by the country’s defense minister, Gijs Tuinman. The system is backward compatible with the country’s stockpile of older Spike missiles, Tuinman said.

Delivery is scheduled for 2026-2028. Germany also bought Rafael’s Spike missile launchers.

Earlier this year, the Netherlands stopped exporting parts of F-35 fighter jets to Israel. The Dutch government is appealing the court decision.
