EFE.- SIAL, the Paris Agri-Food Show, one of the most important events in the sector, opens its doors this Sunday in the edition in which it turns 60 and with a look at what the food of the future should be.

More than 285,000 visitors are expected to attend the Villepinte fair, north of the capital, for five days, in search of the latest trends in the agri-food field, with the presentation of numerous initiatives for healthier and more sustainable eating.

That seems to be the trend marked at the Show, according to the organizers, which hosts numerous innovative companies that propose everything from more ecological products to packaging that minimizes pollution.

In total, some 7,500 exhibitors will participate in a Show that is held every two years and that aspires to be the sounding board for trends, according to its director, Audrey Ashworth.

Its look to the future is articulated through various spaces that host innovative companies, but also with the attribution of some awards that facilitate the search for new ideas.

The SIAL Start-up, for example, will bring together 150 young entrepreneurs in the field of technology applied to food, who will propose everything from alternative products to new distribution solutions.

On its 60th anniversary, those responsible for the Show want to set a new course, looking for new technologies to facilitate the work of the sector.

But without forgetting the direct contact with the producers and with the different products that will look for a showcase for export in the halls of the fair.
