The Ministry of Finance and Public Credit highlighted this Tuesday a new maximum in the collection of 2025 by reporting that, from January to December 17, the income of the federal government amounted to 5.9 trillion pesos (about 327,825 million dollars), an increase of 3.9% in real terms compared to the same period of the previous year.

In a publication on the social network

“The SAT reported that, from January to December 17, 2025, the income of the Government of Mexico reached 5 billion 900 thousand 853 million pesos, an increase of 3.9% in real terms compared to the same period of the previous year,” indicates the publication.

The graph shared by the Treasury — with figures as of December 17 of each year — shows an upward trajectory since 2019, when income stood at 3.88 trillion pesos (about $215.685 million), to the maximum in 2025.

In 2024, the amount was 5.47 trillion pesos (about 303,842 million dollars), while in 2023 4.9 trillion pesos (almost 271,968 million dollars) were reported, in both cases with the same time frame.

As background, the SAT reported that, from January to November 2025, the income of the Mexican Government totaled 5.3 trillion pesos (about 307,212 million dollars), a real growth of 5.9% compared to the same period in 2024.

In that period, tax collection reached 4.9 trillion pesos (about 272,523 million dollars), with a real advance of 4.6%, the organization detailed.

By components, the SAT reported income tax (ISR) income of 2.65 trillion pesos (about 147,366 million dollars); for value added tax (VAT) of 1.37 trillion pesos (almost 76,105 million dollars), and for special tax on production and services (IEPS) of 617,787 million pesos (about 34,322 million dollars), with positive variations compared to 2024.
