The United States assured this Tuesday that Mexican drug cartels, supposedly in collaboration with the Antifa movement (extreme left), have put a price on the heads of agents fighting against illegal immigration in cities like Chicago.
“The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has obtained credible intelligence that Mexican criminals, in coordination with domestic extremist groups, have placed bounties on ICE and CBP personnel,” the statement explained.
The raids led by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE) and the Border Patrol (CBP) have intensified pressure in that city in the northeast of the country, generating a wave of demonstrations. In response, President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of the National Guard, despite opposition from the governor of Illinois and the mayor of Chicago.
“The cartels have disclosed a rewards program to encourage violence against federal agents,” notes the DHS. Specifically, “$2,000 for gathering intelligence or ‘doxxing’ agents”; “$5,000-10,000 for non-lethal kidnapping or assault”; and “up to $50,000 for the murder of senior officials,” the text states.
“In Portland and Chicago, Antifa groups have provided logistical support,” with material for demonstrations or alleged espionage on agents deployed on the streets.

US accuses Mexican cartels of offering rewards for attacks on immigration agents
Trump declared the Antifa movement a “domestic terrorist group,” even though experts describe it as a constellation of anarchist groups with no command structure.
The statement also points out that gangs such as the Latin Kings have been detected on rooftops in Chicago, equipped with weapons and radios to track the movements of federal agents in real time. Violence, according to the Department of Homeland Security, has escalated to unprecedented levels.
“Our agents face ambushes, drone surveillance and death threats,” said Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
According to DHS data, ICE has faced a 1,000% increase in attacks against agents of all types.
The fight against illegal immigration has established itself as one of the pillars of Trump’s second term, and also as one of the points most criticized by the Democratic opposition.
