The United States announced the restriction of visas for managers of a Mexican transportation company whom it accuses of “facilitating illegal immigration” to US territory, although it did not detail the number of people affected or their identities.

“Investigations indicate that the designated individuals organized the transportation of foreigners, including minors, from the Caribbean and other regions to transit points in Central America, where many were later found attempting to enter the United States illegally,” the State Department detailed in a statement.

Visa restrictions are imposed to prevent designated individuals from entering the United States.

The measure “applies to executives and senior officials of a transportation company based in Mexico who knowingly provided travel services designed primarily for foreigners seeking to immigrate illegally to the United States,” although the note does not reveal which company it is.
