With The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt celebrating its 10th anniversary just last year and with its sequel, The Witcher 4, currently in development over at CD Projekt RED, the love surrounding the hit RPG is as strong as ever.
Following rumors that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be welcoming its third DLC as a way to bridge the gap between the two mainline entries, fans are awaiting the confirmation. However, in the meantime, there is plenty more Witcher-related fun to be had with the arrival of Reigns: The Witcher.
The Witcher Is Officially Back
Set to launch tomorrow, Reigns: The Witcher is an interactive fiction game which explores the adventures of Geralt of Rivia courtesy of the ballads sung by none other than Dandelion. In the 2D release, players will need to “swipe right, swipe left, seek glory, find death!” as they embark on a fun-packed story which will see them hunt monsters, meet the locals, and of course, take plenty of baths.
Developed by Nerial, this The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt spinoff puts a unique and wholesome spin on the beloved RPG, and features all of our favorite characters including, of course, Geralt and Dandelion, as well as Triss, Yennefer, Ciri, Vesemir, The Bloody Baron, and Daisy the Cow.
As Geralt battles for survival through the epic tales of the bard, he will soon discover that a Witcher’s work is never done as he stumbles across various NPCs who are always eager to offer yet another task. However, with thousands of storyline combinations, no two playthroughs will be the same.
Reigns: The Witcher Drops Tomorrow
As mentioned, Reigns: The Witcher launches tomorrow, 25 February, on Steam, and will be the perfect game to play for veteran The Witcher fans, or even newbies to the franchise who wish to start off with something a bit less daunting.
Thanks to its colorful 2D art and simple UI, Reigns: The Witcher is a must-play for those who want to explore the CD Projekt RED world, but with a twist. However, with hours of fun expected to be had, as well as puzzles to solve, taverns to frequent, and new deeds and characters to unlock, completing them all will level up our favorite bard, allowing even more tales to be shared as you delve into the interaction world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt courtesy of Reigns: The Witcher. In the meantime, let us hope that this gives CDPR enough time to work on announcing that third DLC…
