According to people who already participate in the labor field in Mexico, it is in the hands of educational institutions to facilitate recent graduates entering the labor field.

This, according to a survey carried out by the company OCC, in which it asked workers how it would be easier for recent graduates to enter quality jobs.

And the fact is that recent graduates of degrees in Mexico are faced with the demand from companies that they already have experience if they wish to join their ranks, which is why it is difficult for them to be recruited.

The main response given by 46% of the workers consulted by OCC was therefore that a practical approach in universities would be the best solution.

And the workers explained that if institutions promoted professional internships, students would be able to better understand the demands of each position.

For their part, 25% of the workers surveyed suggested that institutions could establish agreements to offer quality internships, focused on the students’ specialty, since the activities carried out during current internships do not always reflect the responsibilities of a formal job. .

21% of those consulted, added OCC, highlighted the importance of developing skills such as teamwork, effective communication and, especially, leadership, since these competencies are considered essential to function in an organizational environment and would allow young people be more competitive.

Finally, the remaining 8% of those consulted said that the incorporation of young people into the workforce would be facilitated if institutions included digital skills in their teaching. This is because they highlighted that mastering new tools is becoming a basic requirement for any professional.
