José de Jesús Rodríguez Cárdenas, president of the National Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism of Mexico City (Canaco CDMX), asked the government of Claudia Sheinbaum to implement a strategy to protect the economy, employment, investment and trade of the threat Donald Trump tariffs.

“We call on the unity of all productive actors to work together with the authorities in the implementation of strategies that strengthen our economy, protect jobs and guarantee a favorable environment for international investment and trade,” said the businessman.

The employer gave its total support to the Government of Mexico in the defense of the country’s economic interests and in the search for solutions that safeguard the competitiveness of companies and the well -being of millions of workers.

He said that the business sector has been a fundamental pillar in the economic growth of Mexico.

“Mexico has demonstrated its capacity for dialogue and negotiation in international forums, as well as its commitment to free trade and global economic integration,” he said.

“From the Chamber of Commerce of Mexico City, we reiterate our willingness to collaborate with the Federal Government in the construction of solutions that allow to face this challenge effectively and coordinated,” he added.

The president of the CDMX Canaco urged all productive sectors to close ranks in defense of the economy and reinforce the confidence in Mexico’s ability to overcome global challenges.

“Economic stability and sustainable development are shared responsibilities, and together we can guarantee a prosperous future for our country,” he said.

“The CDMX Canaco also expresses its commitment to collaborate with the Government of Mexico in the face of the migratory challenges that are coming,” he said.

“It is essential to reinforce the domestic market to ensure the integration of repatriated nationals into the national economy through decent jobs and development opportunities,” he said.

“We will be collaborating closely with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, as well as with allied companies and Business Business Organizations,” he said.
