Authorities reported this Thursday from the arrest of who is considered the main financial operator of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG), from a flight from Barcelona.
In a joint statement, different security agencies indicated that in compliance with an arrest warrant, agents “arrested Oscar ‘N’, who came from a flight from Barcelona, Spain.”
The arrest was made by agents of the National Guard and the Army, in coordination with agents of the Secretariats of Navy, Defense and Citizen Protection (SSPC) and the National Intelligence Center (CNI).

Safety and local media sources indicated that it is Oscar Antonio Álvarez González, considered the main financial operator of the CJNG.
The subject is an alleged money washer at the service of Rubén Oseguera Cervantes, aka El Mencho, and Abraham Oseguera Cervantes, aka El Rodo.
The report indicated that the detainee is accused of the crimes of organized crime and operations with resources of illicit origin, in the modality of receiving and transferring resources.
And it is the main financial operator of the CJNG, through the purchase of properties and operation of companies in the tequila and livestock field.
According to the sources, the now arrested is the one who is responsible for managing the change of property name with support from public notaries located in various municipalities in the state of Jalisco.
The statement pointed out that the detainee was made available to the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who will determine his legal status.
In mid -August, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) announced the delivery of 26 drug lords to the United States, which were imprisoned in different prisons in Mexico, which were requested by the Department of Justice, which promised not to ask for the death penalty for them.
These 26 people add up to the 29 drug traffickers who, last February, Mexico delivered to the United States.
The Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel is one of the six Mexican groups that the United States designated as terrorists in February, in addition to the Sinaloa Cartel, the Gulf, Northeast, the Michoacan family and the United posters.
