“This World Cup will not only be an international showcase for our country, it is also a great opportunity for formal companies to grow, train and connect with the world,” he said.

The businessman held a work meeting with Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, Secretary of Tourism in Mexico City and Coordinator of the 2026 World Cup.

The official presented to entrepreneurs and cameras leaders the strategies that are being developed so that the event leaves a positive and lasting legacy for the city and its inhabitants.

There is an effort that seeks to position the World Cup not only as a sporting event, but as a lever of urban, social and economic transformation.

During the meeting, an integral vision was highlighted that includes the regeneration projects of the Azteca Stadium, the strengthening of tourist and cultural infrastructure, sustainable mobility with cycle roads and electro mobility and cultural, sports and inclusive activations in the 16 mayorships.

One of the priority issues was the strategic role of micro, small and medium enterprises, which must be incorporated as key actors in value chains in areas such as supply, hospitality, gastronomy, transport and local trade.

Mexico will host 13 games of the 2026 World Cup. The Azteca Stadium will host five games and the inauguration, while Guadalajara will receive four and Monterrey will have another four.

With its new format expanded to 48 teams distributed in 12 groups, the tournament will be the largest of all time in number of matches, cities headquarters and coverage. It will be played from June 11 to July 19, 2026, for the first time jointly between the United States, Canada and Mexico, and will be played in 16 host cities.

FIFA projects more than 6 million face -to -face attendees, with 450 thousand visitors per city, which makes it the most massive World Cup to date.
