Throughout the 2024 winter vacation operation, which runs from December 13 to January 6, 2025, the Ángeles Verdes group is expected to provide some 14,303 services, said the Secretary of Tourism Josefina Rodríguez Zamora.
This amount of support will benefit 43,341 tourists, the official said.
In the operation, 450 units from the General Directorate of Ángeles Verdes Tourist Services will be deployed to serve 271 highway routes in the country.

Rodríguez Zamora said that the attention and mechanical assistance service of the Ministry of Tourism, through the Ángeles Verdes, can be requested through 3 public service channels: the speed dial number 078, the Ángeles Verdes mobile application and at the service points that operators locate on their routine road trips.
Rodríguez Zamora stated that in addition to providing emergency mechanical assistance, the General Directorate of Tourist Services Ángeles Verdes provides tourist guidance, information on services and tourist destinations; and support in case of natural disasters.
For her part, the general director of Ángeles Verdes Tourist Services, Sandra Díaz Guevara, issued a series of recommendations for travelers who are going to travel on roads during this vacation period.
Drivers should check that the vehicle is in optimal condition, especially the brake system, tires and oil levels, he said.
The seat belt must be worn at all times, driving while tired or under the influence of alcohol must be avoided, and extreme caution must be taken in rainy areas or adverse weather conditions.
Also, you should keep your distance from other vehicles and avoid distractions such as the use of cell phones or electronic devices while driving.
