MEXICO CITY.- Five former officials of Pemex were sentenced to sentences of up to 31 years in prison for their participation in fuel theft, known as Huachicol, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported.
These people were arrested during 2019 by the Federal Ministerial Police and then were available to the authority in the “Altiplano”, in Almoloya de Juárez, State of Mexico, according to a statement from the FGR.
He added that the Federal Public Ministry contributed evidence to obtain conviction against these people.
For Socrates “H”, Emilio “C”, José “S” and Ramón “M” were given 31 years, 10 months 15 days in prison and a fine of one million 209,226 pesos.
Oziel “A” was imposed a sentence of 12 years in prison and a fine of 841,200 pesos.
The five former public services were linked to General Eduardo León Trauwitz, former Strategic Safeguardist of Pemex, according to a note from the Quadratín Mexico agency.
