Given the accelerated advance of artificial intelligence, automation and labor precariousness, various sectors in Mexico already raise specific routes to face the challenge of the future of work.

Companies, local governments, social organizations and educational centers agree that the development of talent, technological inclusion and continuous training are more urgent than ever.

A Platzi report, online technological education platform, warned that the response to this transformation cannot be in the hands of a single actor and proposed concrete actions for each sector in order to build a more resilient, fair and human labor market.

While some companies choose to reduce costs saying staff, others are betting on strengthening their teams. Cemex for example saw its financial performance grow by 15% after investing in professional welfare and updating programs.

According to Platzi’s document, organizations must implement learning routes and routes that include technical, leadership and digital well -being skills.

Educational institutions and civil organizations have the task of democratizing access to knowledge.

To do this, the company recommended expanding scholarships in Stem areas, especially for marginalized women and communities, as well as establishing alliances with governments and digital platforms to expand training in an inclusive way.

The report highlighted the case of the Zapopan Challenge Program, in Jalisco, as a sample of how governments can accompany the change.

Through specialized training for entrepreneurs in key areas such as AI, Marketing and Business Development, the municipality managed to positively impact 60 startups, combining face -to -face mentoring with online education.

“The solution is not purely technical: governments, schools and companies must lead a deep cultural change. We need to train the teams, update curricula and reform how we measure performance. And, of course, we have to learn to unlearn and learn constantly again,” said Freddy Vega, CEO of Platzi, according to the document.
