Citizen mobilizations to demand justice and greater security after the murder of the mayor of Uruapan, Carlos Manzo, coincided this Monday in the first square of Morelia, according to information from Quadratín México.

The marches were organized mainly by students from various institutions.

One of the demonstrations started from the La Huerta road, near the Monument to Lázaro Cárdenas, while another began in Plaza Morelos, in front of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences of the Michoacana University of San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH).

When both arrived at the Historic Center, the slogans and confrontations did not take long to appear. The protesters encountered a strong police operation guarding the area, which led to moments of tension and clashes between the participants and the uniformed officers.
