A book was returned to a library in the Russian city of Yekaterimburg more than a century after it was borrowed, according to the institution’s press office on Tuesday.
‘Attention and interest during the study’, is the title of the didactic book that was taken in July 1919, the Belinski Library note requires.
The book, which was published in 1903 and is in good condition, should have been restored a month later, but did not return to its original home until recently thanks to a resident of the Ural capital.

“It’s an unknown why the reader did not return the book after a month. Only one note: the Red Army entered Yekaterimburg and took power on July 14, 1919. So you imagine what could have happened, ”says one of the employees of the Belinski library.
The man who found the book says that he did not include the loan sheet, but the library seal was practically intact with the return date.
It has been so much time that the book no longer appears in the funds of the library, which intends to include it again in its inventory, specifically in the weird books section.
The library has not specified the name of the person who borrowed him more than a century ago or the place where he was recovered.
