With this work in black and white, the director makes its way in the world of the feature film to tell the Histor of Socorro (Huertas), a disenchanted lawyer of the Mexican justice system that has been looking for his brother, Jorge, Jorge, in the Tlatelolco massacre on October 2, 1968.
The development of the film, released during the Toulouse Cinélatino Festival, in France, has a personal bond with the filmmaker, who when writing the script was inspired by the experiences of his mother and his uncle, also deceased in 1968.
On that date, the Mexican Army and its paramilitary group, the Olimpia Battalion, repressed a peaceful demonstration in the three cultures of Tlatelolco during the presidency of Gustavo Díaz Ordaz, between 1964 and 1970, and causing the death of more than 300 students.
‘We will not move’ has aroused emotion among the national public, since during the Ariel ceremony last weekend, Huertas dedicated the award received to the more than 130,000 missing people in Mexico and the mothers who are looking for them.
The next Goya Awards Gala will be held on February 28 in Barcelona (Spain), while the 2026 Oscar Awards will be held on March 15, 2026 in Los Angeles (USA).
