Context
The kitchen benches or “learning towers” for children have become increasingly popular in recent years, driven by Tiktok parents that promote a Montessori -type educational approach. These products allow children to reach countertops and participate in activities such as cooking and cleaning with their parents. Their designs vary widely in size, safety railings and, in some cases, protective networks. The Banquito Cosco is the second to be retired this year: the Onasti brand withdrew about 10,000 plastic towers in March after reports that collapsed or overturned during use.
