WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT THE MASKED SINGER SEASON 14!

The Masked Singer season 14 contestant Eggplant has had two spectacular performances, and it’s become almost certain that his true identity is actor and singer Jack Wagner. The Masked Singer season 14 welcomed back panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora, along with host Nick Cannon. So far, Eggplant has performed twice, on Fear Night and Red, White, and Clue Night, singing sensational renditions of “Rocket Man” by Elton John and “American Woman” by Lenny Kravitz.

During The Masked Singer season 14, the panelists guessed that Eggplant was Martin Short (Robin) or Nathan Lane (Rita), while, on Red, White, and Clue Night, they thought that he was Billy Joel (Ken), Daryl Hall (Jenny), or Kenny Loggins (Robin). However, all of these guesses are most likely incorrect because of a specific clue on Red, White, and Clue Night that proves that Eggplant is Jack Wagner.

Eggplant’s Red, White, And Clue Night Clue Might Prove His True Identity As Jack Wagner

In Eggplant’s The Masked Singer season 14 Red, White, and Clue Night clue package, he revealed that he crashed what he called the most iconic event in pop history: the recording of “We Are the World.” He received an invitation from Quincy Jones, who produced the song, and suddenly found himself hanging out with 45 of the biggest legends in music.

Eggplant admitted that, although he’d topped the charts himself, he was starstruck by legends such as Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, and Bob Dylan. He shared that Michael Jackson told him that he loved his album and his voice, and that he should keep doing his thing. Eggplant gushed that he was so inspired.

These clues match up perfectly with Jack Wagner’s experience with “We Are the World.” In an interview with The Harbor Magazine, Jack told the story of how Quincy Jones invited him to the recording of “We Are the World” because he was on Quincy’s label and number one on the pop charts at the time. He also recalled how Michael Jackson had complimented him on his record and his voice. Jack shared that he wasn’t invited as a performer to sing on the recording, but, rather, Quincy wanted him there to watch. Jack expressed that it was probably the biggest night of his life musically.

Jack’s story matches Eggplant’s perfectly, and this all but proves his true identity as the actor and singer.

The Masked Singer Season 14 Eggplant Clues About Jack Wagner’s Music Career

Jack is an accomplished musician, who’s had a lot of success. On The Masked Singer season 14 Fear Night, Eggplant revealed that he has five decades of experience playing in many fields. Jack is now 66 years old, and he’s been playing the guitar since he was 14. One of Eggplant’s clues from Red, White, and Clue Night was a hot sauce bottle with a label that said, “Hot 100 Sauce.” Eggplant explained, “Some say my success has been hot, hot, hot. And I think this bottle says it best.” Jack’s song, “All I Need,” reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1985.

The Masked Singer Season 14 Eggplant Clues About Jack Wagner’s Acting Career

Eggplant also had many Masked Singer clues that referenced Jack’s acting career. An eggplant with a band-aid and a flashing and wailing red ambulance siren were nods to his General Hospital role of Frisco Jones. They could also have referred to his role as Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose Place. Jack also had a role in a 1995 episode of the TV show, Sirens. A sign that said, “Life Is Beautiful,” most likely was a clue about his role as Nick Marone on The Bold and the Beautiful.

As a gold coin was shown, Eggplant stated that he stands up for the people, which was most likely a reference to Jack’s role as Judge Bill Avery on When Calls the Heart. On the Hallmark Channel show, Jack’s character was one of the lead investigators in a storyline about a search for missing gold coins. A wedding dress shown on Red, White, and Clue Night referenced Jack’s role as Mick Turner in the Hallmark Channel five-film series, The Wedding March. In addition, a pair of red shorts on Fear Night referred to Jack’s role as Hart Chadway in the 1989 TV movie, Swimsuit.

Another Eggplant Fear Night clue was Broadway. Jack played the title role in the Broadway production of Jekyll & Hyde in 2000.

During Fear Night, Eggplant stated that he “represents the rock stars, ship captains, and a whole lot of lovers.” These are references to his roles as Frisco, the rock star police detective on General Hospital, and Nick, the sea captain on The Bold and The Beautiful. In addition, many of his other characters are leading men who are known for being lovers on the shows.

The Masked Singer Season 14 Eggplant Clues About Jack Wagner’s Personal Life

In Eggplant’s The Masked Singer season 14 Fear Night clue package, he revealed that he’s schmoozed with everybody, including Jason Bateman, Jack Nicholson, and Clint Eastwood. Jack starred with Jason Bateman in the TV movie, Moving Target. Jack has also played golf with Jack Nicholson and Clint Eastwood.

Jack is an accomplished golfer, and Eggplant’s golf club clue referred to that. According to The Harbor Magazine, Jack boasts a handicap of zero or better, and has won six club championships on his home course in Los Angeles, the BelAir Country Club, and, in 1990, he won the Pebble Beach AT&T ProAm event together with John Cook. Jack has also won the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship twice. In addition, he organizes his own tournaments as the national celebrity ambassador for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, for which he raises money annually through the “Jack Wagner Celebrity Golf Classic.”

Although it’s still only speculation, it seems very clear that The Masked Singer season 14’s Eggplant is Jack Wagner. From the clue packages to his highly recognizable singing voice, Jack appears to have taken the stage as Eggplant. With his extraordinary performances, it’s very possible that, as Eggplant, Jack will advance to the finale and win the Golden Mask Trophy.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
