The Soriana supermarket chain announced that it will place charging stations for electric cars in the parking lots of all its stores in the country.
The goal is to show a commitment to sustainability by facilitating the adoption of these vehicles.
For the project, Soriana entered into an alliance with the charging infrastructure company FAZT, a pioneer in ultra-fast charging.

Together, the companies hope to install more than 1,000 charging stations by 2030, creating the largest network of charging stations for electric vehicles in Mexico.
The start of the project will be in CDMX, Nuevo León, State of Mexico and Jalisco, with the installation of 7 stations in the first quarter of 2025, while in the second half of 2025 50 more stations will be installed.
The in-store infrastructure will attract a new base of environmentally conscious consumers, according to Soriana.
Javier Cuartas, general director of FAZT, commented that “through this initiative it will be possible to democratize access to electric mobility for all Mexicans, providing a safe, reliable and accessible charging infrastructure that will complement the purchasing experience in Soriana.”
