Taylor Sheridan has grown from strength to strength since Yellowstone debuted in 2018, but this could be one of the best weeks ever for Sheridan fans. Since 2018, the Sheridanverse has exploded, and writer, director, and creator extraordinaire Taylor Sheridan has gone on to create several more shows as well as lend a hand to various other projects.
Up to this point, these releases have continued to build momentum to the point that, currently airing, there are no fewer than seven shows due to debut or return in 2026 where Sheridan is credited as either the sole creator or a joint creator. Clearly, 2026 is a good year to be a Sheridan fan, and things are off to a great start this week.
Yellowstone’s Next Spinoff Begins Sunday, March 1st
Yellowstone may have ended in 2024, but thanks to shows like 1883 and 1923, the story around the Duttons and the ranch has continued to be refined and explored in a range of spin-offs that take the epic neo-Western and beautifully position it as a prestige TV drama.
And despite 1883 and 1923 having concluded, this coming Sunday marks the beginning of yet another story set within that world with the arrival of Marshals. Where the previous two shows have been prequels, Marshals will finally move the story forward and see Luke Grimes return as Kayce Dutton, among other familiar faces.
Marshals Arrives Just Days After Kevin Costner’s Latest Yellowstone Replacement
Before Marshals arrives on the small screen, however, former Yellowstone star, Kevin Costner, is also making waves with a new TV series that he is executive producing alongside fellow Hollywood legend, Morgan Freeman. The Grey House is a historical drama and is already available to watch in its entirety on Prime Video now.
Based on a true story, the series follows a woman who is part of a network of Union spies during the American Civil War in Virginia. The Gray House may not be a Sheridan project, but clearly, Costner and Sheridan aligned in terms of taste as they spent considerable time working together, which is likely to have some influence on this story moving forward.
Yellowstone Fans Have Another Show To Look Forward To In March
Finally, just a few short weeks after Marshals’ debuts, another series from Taylor Sheridan himself, with a neo-Western setting, is set to arrive on Paramount+. The Madison was initially considered to be a Yellowstone spin-off, though that appears to have been revised, which will hopefully give this story more room to stand on its own.
The Madison’s six-episode premiere season will release in two batches, half on March 14th, and the remaining three a week later. And in order to further tempt newcomers to the show, the show has already been renewed for a second season ahead of its official release.
Clearly, Taylor Sheridan is on track to have a huge year, which means plenty of exciting new releases for fans to indulge in, and it all kicks off with shows like Marshals, The Gray House, and The Madison.
