MEXICO CITY, (EFE) .- Three people died in a plane crash while participating in the control of the cattle boreride in the border of Mexico with Guatemala, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader), Julio Berdegué, reported Friday.
The victims were identified by the official in their social networks such as Carlos Eduardo Monroy and Byron Eduardo Morán, pilots of Guatemalan nationality, and Lucio Alberto Roblero, Mexican agronomist.
Secretary Berdegué expressed his condolences through social networks and highlighted the commitment of the three workers in the defense of national livestock.
“Lucio, Mexican agricultural engineer; Carlos and Byron, Guatemalan pilots, completed their duty,” the official wrote in his X account.
“We will always be grateful for their delivery and sacrifice,” he added.
The accident occurred while flying over an area near Tapachula, Chiapas, as part of the health actions to eradicate the boreride of cattle in the region.

“We regret the death of Carlos Eduardo Monroy, Byron Eduardo Moran and Lucio Alberto Roblero, who committed to his work to combat the plague of the cheaning worm of the cattle, suffered an accident aboard a plane through the area of Tapachula, Chiapas,” reads its publication of X.
So far, the Sader has not issued official information about the causes of the accident or on the state of the aircraft used.
