That is a nice, round number representing a resistance level that, if broken through, could clear the way for further upside, according to Mark Malek, investment chief at Siebert. In fact, the benchmark yield could continue to climb to as high as 4.5%, he said. The yield on the 10-year note was last floating around 4.24%. “If we get over that 4.25% level, certainly, I would be concerned that there’s not too much more support beyond that,” Malek said.
