The president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced on Wednesday that he has reached an agreement with South Korea to reduce tariffs to imports from that country from 25% to 15%.
“We have agreed a 15% tariff for South Korea. The United States will not pay any tariff,” said the Republican president through his social truth platform.
According to the president, the agreement also contemplates that the Asian country invests 350,000 million dollars in the United States and that acquires 100,000 million dollars in liquefied natural gas and other American energy products.
In addition, South Korea will be “completely open” to trade with the United States, facilitating the purchase of American cars and agricultural products.

Trump will formalize this pact with the South Korean president, Lee Jae-Myung, during a meeting of both leaders at the White House within the next two weeks, added the American.
This Friday, the deadline that Trump put to impose tariffs unilaterally to its commercial partners will be fulfilled in case of not having reached a previous agreement.
