The layoffs include the agency’s financial director, two programs analysts and a subsidy specialist, the DHS added without revealing their names.
“The DHS will not remain with a crossed -law and will allow the activists of the deep state to undergo the will and security of the US people,” warned the department, led by the Secretary of National Security, Kristi Noem.
The lodging of migrants in hotels in New York was one of the most repeated arguments in the last electoral campaign by the then candidate Donald Trump, against immigration, although these accommodations are far from luxury.
Trump’s punishment to Fema
DHS’s funds, especially those for FEMA, have been the object of scrutiny and criticism by Republican politicians in the country, especially after last year’s hurricanes.
