President Donald Trump declared Monday that the wide American tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada “will continue”, when a one month delay in its implementation expires next week, according to a CNBC report.
“The tariffs are being applied in time, as planned,” Trump said when asked at a press conference at the White House if postponed rates on the two business partners of the United States would soon enter into force soon.
“We have been very mistreated by many countries, not just Canada and Mexico. They have taken advantage of us, ”he added during the joint conference with the French president, Emmanuel Macron.
