The US president, Donald Trump, said today when presenting his minimum global tariffs of 10% and additional by countries that these levies “will bring us a growth never seen” and “faster than it is believed.”
In a ceremony in the Rosaleda of the White House in which he announced his “day of liberation” for the United States, the president said that they are “friendly tariffs”, while presenting a long list of countries with their respective new taxes with “discount” with respect to the barriers they impose on US exports.

“These tariffs are not totally reciprocal, they are friendly reciprocal. My answer is very simple, if they complain and want a zero tariff, then manufacture here in the United States, because there is no tariff,” Trump said.
“To foreign presidents, prime ministers, kings and queens and ambassadors who have called us asking for exemptions to these tariffs, they told them to finish their own tariffs, lower the barriers and do not manipulate the currencies,” added the president.
In his opinion, this announcement of tariffs is a measure to protect against those who “damage the US economy” and promised “never seen growth, which will be very special to see” and that will arrive before what is expected, especially with advertisements of investments of companies in the United States.
