Donald Trump’s government said Tuesday that he will withdraw another 450 million dollars in federal funds to Harvard University, adding a new chapter to the open war between the administration and one of the most prestigious educational centers in the country.

“Eight federal agencies of the entire government announce the suppression of approximately 450 million dollars in subsidies to Harvard, which add up to the 2.200 million dollars suppressed last week,” said the ‘Federal Working Group to combat anti -Semitism’, created by Trump.

The group said that Harvard is “a culture broth for the signaling of virtues and discrimination” and that the institution “has not faced generalized racial discrimination and anti -Semitic harassment that ravages its campus repeatedly.”

“There is a dark problem on the Harvard campus, and by prioritizing the appeasement over accountability, institutional leaders have lost the right of the school to obtain the support of taxpayers,” he collects the note.

The group’s statement, in addition, is signed by lawyers from the EU education and human services departments.

Last week, the Secretary of Education, Linda McMahon, sent a letter to Harvard where she warned its president, Alan Garber, that the institution will not receive new subsidies from the Government for allegedly “mocking” the country’s higher education system.

Garber responded to the secretary on Monday with another letter in which he softened the tone, ensuring that Harvard and the Administration share objectives but differ in their approaches, and insisted that the university will not bend to the government’s interference.

Until now, Harvard has been the only university that has sharply refused to accept Trump’s demands to withdraw his positive discrimination policies, despite the freezing of funds and the possible loss of his fiscal exemptions.

The center, which filed a lawsuit against the government to recover its financing, has been qualified by the president as a “threat to democracy”, an institution of “extreme left” and “anti -Semitic”, with international students who want to “destroy our country.”

Columbia University also faced the withdrawal of funds in March. Although he agreed to follow the administration’s demands to recover them, it still negotiates their return.
