Washington, (Reuters) .- President Donald Trump is not interested in talking with Elon Musk, a White House official said Friday, which indicates that the president and his exaliate could not resolve his dispute over a broad draft law of tax cuts in the short term.
The White House official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that no telephone call was planned between Trump and the executive director of Tesla for that day.
Previously, another White House official had said that both were going to talk.
In interviews with several American media, Trump said he was focused on other matters.
“I don’t even think about Elon. He has a problem, the poor man has a problem,” he told CNN.
Lee: Trump plans to sell the Tesla that bought Musk, according to the White House
Trump could get rid of the red Tesla S that he bought in March after exhibiting Musk electric cars on the White House grass, said the official.
Musk did not direct Trump directly, but maintained his criticisms of the huge project of republican taxes and expenses that contains much of Trump’s internal agenda.
In its social media platform, X, Musk amplified others’ comments on the “great bill” of Trump would politically harm Republicans and increase the national debt of 36.2 billion dollars.
He responded “exactly” to a publication of another X user who said that Musk had criticized Congress and that Trump had responded by criticizing him personally.

People who have spoken with Musk said their anger has begun to decrease and believe they will want to repair their relationship with Trump, according to a person who has spoken with the businessman’s environment.
The White House statements occurred a day after the two men faced openly in an extraordinary exhibition of hostilities that marked the end of a close alliance.
Tesla’s shares rose on Friday, recovering some losses from Thursday’s session, when 14% fell and lost 150 billion dollars in value, the largest fall in a single day in the company’s history.
Musk’s high profile allies have been greatly remained silent during the dispute. But one of them, the investor James Fishback, apologized to Musk.
“President Trump has demonstrated grace and patience at a time when Elon’s behavior is disappointing and, frankly, absolutely disturbing,” Fishback said in a statement.

Musk, the richest man in the world, financed a large part of Trump’s presidential campaign by 2024. The Republican appointed Musk to lead a controversial effort to reduce the federal workforce and cut the expense.
Trump entertained Musk at the White House a week ago at the end of his mandate as director of the Government Efficiency Department.
Musk cut only about half of 1% of total expenditure, well below his bold plans to cut 2 billion dollars of the federal budget.
Since then, Musk has denounced Trump’s tax and expenses cuts bill as a “disgusting abomination.”
His opposition is complicating efforts to approve the bill in Congress, where Republicans have a little majority.

Trump’s bill was approved by a narrow margin in the House of Representatives last month and is now in the Senate, where Republicans claim that they will introduce more changes.
Independent analysts claim that the measure would add 2.4 billion dollars to the debt in 10 years.
The president of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, said he has sent text messages with Musk and expects the dispute to be resolved rapidly.
“I do not argue with him about how to build rockets and wish I didn’t argue with me about how to make laws and approve them,” Johnson said in CNBC.
‘Very disappointed’
Trump had initially remained silent while Musk campaigned to torpedo the bill, but broke his silence on Thursday and told the journalists that he was “very disappointed” with Musk.
The billionaire, who spent almost 300 million dollars in last year’s elections, said Trump would have lost without his support and suggested that he should be submitted to political trial.
Trump suggested that he would terminate government contracts with Musk companies, which include the Spacex Cohetes Company and its Starlink satellite unit.
The Tesla CEO then threatened to dismantle the Spacex Dragon spacecraft, the only American spacecraft capable of sending astronauts to the International Space Station. Subsequently he retracted his threat.

Musk was enraged when Trump revoked the Jared Isaacman nomination, Musk’s ally, to direct the National Aeronautics and the US space nomination on the weekend.
Two sources with direct knowledge of the dispute affirmed that the Kingdom Personnel Director, Sergio Gor, had contributed to Trump to turn against Isaacman by highlighting his donations prior to the Democrats.
Musk and Gor had disagreed since the billionaire criticized GOR’s hiring rhythm at a cabinet meeting in March, the two sources said.
A White House spokesman Steven Cheung praised Gor’s efforts to provide the administration staff, but did not address his relationship with Musk.
A prolonged dispute could make it difficult for Republicans to maintain control of Congress in the middle of the period of next year if Musk withdraws their financial support or if other important business leaders of Silicon Valley distance themselves from Trump.
Musk had already said that he planned to cut his political expense and on Tuesday he asked that “all politicians who betrayed the American people” be fired next year.
His relationship with the Trump administration caused generalized protests at Tesla’s facilities, which reduced sales while investors feared that Musk’s attention was too divided.
