President-elect Donald Trump said Friday that his inauguration will be moved inside Congress because of the dangerously cold temperatures expected on Monday.
Trump will be sworn into office in the US Capitol Rotunda and his inaugural parade will take place inside Washington’s Capital One sports stadium.
“I have ordered that the inaugural address, in addition to prayers and other speeches, be given in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol, as Ronald Reagan did in 1985, also because of the very cold weather,” he wrote in a post by Truth Social.
CNN was the first to report the transfer of the ceremony.
