EFE.- The next president of the United States, Republican Donald Trump, this Saturday commissioned two friends and prominent donors to his campaign, Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, to lead the Inaugural Committee to organize his inauguration ceremony that will take place on January 20.

Trump, who already governed the country between 2017 and 2021, said in a statement that the Inaugural Committee will honor last Tuesday’s “magnificent victory” over the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, and turn the inauguration into “a celebration of the American people.”

“It will be the starting signal for my Administration, which will fulfill the bold promises to make America great again. “Together, we will celebrate this moment, steeped in history and tradition, and then we will get to work to achieve an incredible future for our people,” he declared.

Steve Witkoff is an American investor and one of Trump’s closest friends, while Loeffler is a businesswoman and former senator from Georgia. The two helped organize numerous fundraisers for the Trump campaign.

It is the second announcement Trump has made since winning the election, after naming his adviser Susie Wiles as the next White House chief of staff.
