The president of the USA, Donald Trump, threatened on Monday with imposing additional tariffs and limiting their chips exports to countries that do not eliminate their digital rates, which considers that they harm US technology companies.
In Truth Social, Trump warned “countries with rates, legislation, digital norms or regulations” that, if they do not eliminate them, it will impose “additional substantial tariffs” to their exports to the US and will establish “export restrictions” of the “technology and chips” of the USA.
Trump has already previously criticized countries that apply the Digital Services Tax (DST) as Canada, which he pressed breaking the commercial dialogue and that in June ended up reversing his intention to impose new rates on the great US technological technological ones.
The president claimed that these measures, which also applies the European Union, “are designed to harm or discriminate against US technology” while “give a complete approved to the largest technological companies in China.”

The so -called “Big Tech”, technological such as Meta, Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft or Apple, who take the list of the largest contributed in the world, are all Americans, and their executives have starred in a sound approach to President Trump since he won the elections.
“The US and US technology companies will not be more the piggy bank nor the matrier of the world. They show respect to the US and our incredible technological companies or consider the consequences,” added the president.
Last February, Trump signed an executive order in which he threatened to punish countries with digital rates and opened the possibility of “renewing investigations” against several to those he put in Diana in his first term for that reason, including Spain, United Kingdom, France and Italy.
