President Donald Trump will deliver a live address to the nation from the White House at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
The speech comes as several polls show his approval ratings sagging across the board, including on the economy and other issues. Trump is expected to tout accomplishments from his first 11 months in office and make the case for his administration’s actions against Venezuela.
“It has been a great year for our Country, and THE BEST IS YET TO COME!” the president posted on Truth Social announcing the address on Tuesday.
“I look forward to ‘seeing’ you then,” Trump wrote.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters on Tuesday that Trump would also discuss his plans to “continue delivering for the American people over the next three years.”
