Two agents of the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena) died after the training aircraft in which they were traveling crashed in the vicinity of the municipality of Ameca, Jalisco.

“The aircraft belonging to the Military Aviation School took off from the Military Air Base No. 5 located in Zapopan and suffered the accident near Ameca, Jalisco; in this event the two officers who were on board lost their lives,” said the agency in a statement.

According to the information, the injured vehicle was an G-120 TurboHélico Monomotor Training aircraft, registration 6302 of the Mexican Air Force.

So far the identity of the deceased and the cause of the accident is unknown.

However, the Sedena explained that the Investigative Commission and Air Accident Rosemary Commission, as well as the General Inspection and Comptroller of the Army and Air Force, work on the “corresponding expert opinions, to determine the possible causes that originated the event”.

The agency expressed its “deepest condolences” to the relatives of the military who lost their lives and assured that they are accompanying them to support them in all their needs and grant them the benefits that correspond to them by law.

The Ameca Red Cross also reported on its social networks that he went to the site to attend the emergency and found two people lifeless.

“Red Cross personnel Ameca go to the report of falling a plane, near the Ameca-Guadalajara road, in the town of Quelite. On arrival two people are located lifeless for the accident, being available to the relevant authorities,” he reported.
