The Universal Studios theme park in Orlando, Florida, will open on October 31 a new version of its immersive experience ‘Wicked: The Experience’, with elements inspired by the sequel to the successful global saga that will hit theaters in November.
The installation will include original props from the film ‘Wicked: For Good’, as well as costume displays, areas for the public to take photos and new items related to the universe of ‘The Wizard of Oz’, the resort said in a statement.
The space will allow visitors to explore settings inspired by emblematic places in history, such as Shiz University, where the bad witch of the west and the good witch of the north meet, and the Emerald City, capital of the kingdom of Oz.
‘Wicked: For Good’ is the second part of the adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, based in turn on the novel by the American Gregory Maguire and on the characters of the American classic L. Frank Baum ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
The first installment, released in 2024 and starring the British Cynthia Erivo and the American Ariana Grande, became one of the biggest recent successes of the film company Universal Pictures.
