The last days of February and the beginning of March bring this weekend some new exhibitions that you cannot miss, as well as the last days of the FIL, premieres of films and more.
International Mining Book Fair
One of the most emblematic literary events of the CDMX returns these last days of February and early March, having its 46th edition and the state of Oaxaca as a guest state.
This edition of the FIL will be characterized by the participation of 155 exhibitors and more than 400 editorial stamps, in addition to activities for all ages in order to make this space a key to the promotion of reading and dissemination of literature. In the same way, space will be given for conferences, workshops and talks where experts and authors will share their knowledge and experiences.

Frida Kahlo: The life of an icon
This proposal that arrives at CDMX this weekend will submerge the attendees in the life of the iconic artist through collections of historical photographs, original films, enveloping digital environments, artistic facilities, unique articles of collection and unpublished music, especially created to revive the most transcendental moments of its history.
The new experience will transport you on a trip through childhood and adolescence of Frida, her passions, maternity and the trips that made her a global icon.

Exhibitions that you will not want to lose in CDMX
Juan O’Gorman exhibition
This temporal exhibition seeks to honor the artist Juan O’Gorman with his most iconic works that address models that represent some of their most emblematic architectural projects such as the Central Library, the Casa Museo Estudio de Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, and the Cueva Casa, the latter created by the same architecture students.
The exhibition also brings together a variety of pieces that include photographs, plans, paintings, drawings, period files and personal objects of the artist. In addition, it has unpublished and original materials.

Gabriel Orozco: National Polytechnic
Gabriel Orozco, a contemporary artist, will present an exhibition with 300 of his works this weekend, and with this, marks his return to CDMX to portray the connections between the everyday, nature and human creativity.
With these pieces, Orozco covers up to three decades of his career as an artist so that the public manages to know their obsessions and interests that have inspired him to create works such as “Four Bicycles”, “Dark Wave”, “The DS” and many others.

David Medal: In conversation with the cosmos
The Filipino artist who covered the movements of kinetic art, performance and participatory art has one of the exhibitions that cannot be left out this weekend, since the exhibition narrates the artist’s personal encounters, as well as his participation in political actions and in the collective production of art.
The tour begins with paintings and drawings of the late fifties, and concludes with the works that produced shortly before his death. Printed documents, photographs and personal objects are also included, such as their newspapers in which he says he began drawing in 1943.

Premieres that arrive at theaters this weekend
Attack on Titan: The final attack
After a year of waiting, fans of this anime will have in Mexican movie theaters the end of history in the fight against the Titans.
The plot follows Eren Jaeger, who, after acquiring new knowledge about the world, decides to start “rumble” with the aim of eradicating all forms of life outside the walls. His former friends, and even enemies, including Armin, Mikasa and Levi, join forces in a desperate attempt to stop their lethal mission and save humanity.
The tape will be available in original language and with dubbing.
Sayuri’s curse
This Japanese horror tape, directed by the renowned horror teacher Koji Shiraishi brings us the story based on the homonymous manga of Rensuke Oshikiri.
The plot follows the Kamiki family, who, after years of effort, finally acquire the house of their dreams. However, their happiness is truncated when they begin to experience paranormal phenomena and discover that an evil presence that seeks revenge.
