Vector Casa de Bolsa announced that it will transfer its portfolio and customer assets to Finamex Casa de Bolsa, after the US Treasury indicated in June to the firm, along with two banks, for alleged money laundering practices.
“With this operation, the investments and assets of the customers remain in full and duly supported, under the mechanisms of custody and supervision established by the Mexican regulation,” the firm said in a statement, where it described the operation as an “ordered transfer” subject to the corresponding regulatory authorizations.
The United States Department of the Treasury announced in June that it prohibited certain transactions that involve vector, Cibanco and Intercam after identifying them as a “main concern” in the money laundering.
