A video recorded from the mobile phone of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE) agent who shot an American woman in Minneapolis revealed this Friday new details of the event from a perspective that until now was not known.

The video, advanced by Alpha News, was recorded, as confirmed by CNN, with the phone of the ICE agent who ended the life of Renee Good last Wednesday, identified by several media as Jonathan Ross.

The sequence, lasting less than a minute, shows from the closest possible perspective the moments before the shots.

The images begin with Ross approaching Good’s vehicle, which was crossed on the road to block the way for ICE.

“It’s okay. I’m not mad at you,” she tells him.

The agent records the woman’s burgundy car from different perspectives and encounters another woman upon arriving at the registration area, identified as the now widowed Becca Good. She herself confirmed in a statement that she was there with her wife.

“We don’t change our license plates every morning, just so you know. This will be the same license plate when you come talk to us later,” Becca told the officer as she recorded him and insisted he show his face.

“Do you want to come for us? You better go get some food, big guy,” his wife reproached him.

Meanwhile, another officer appears on the other side of the car and asks Renee Good to get out of the vehicle.

At this moment she begins to maneuver to leave and Ross stands in front of her to block her way.

The agent screams in surprise and opens fire on her.

After images moved by Ross’s gesture, the woman’s vehicle is seen crashing into a street pole.

The video has circulated on social networks and has revived the debate between those who think that the agent acted to protect himself because he thought the woman was going to hit him with the car, a story defended by the Donald Trump Administration, and those who claim that he was only trying to escape, based on the movement of the wheels of Good’s vehicle, which, as seen in other videos, are heading towards the space of the road where the agent was not.

“Look at this, as difficult as it is. Many of you have been told that this law enforcement officer was not hit by a car, was not being harassed, and murdered an innocent woman. The reality is that his life was in danger and he shot in self-defense,” wrote Vice President JD Vance, about the incident.
