The video in which the rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Com combs brutally hits her ex -girlfriend, the R& B singer Casandra Ventura, and who went viral on social networks last year, can project in the trial for sexual trafficking faced by the artist in New York, a federal judge issued this Friday.
The artist’s defense had presented a motion before the Court of the Southern District of Manhattan in which he asked the judge of the case, Arun Subramanian, to prevent those images in the judicial process, claiming that they were “manipulated.”
For their part, the prosecutors assured in a document presented today in the Court that the video “fairly and precisely represents the aggression” and indicated that during the judicial process will testify two people who witnessed the facts.
“The defense cannot demonstrate that the recording is inadmissible,” said Subramanian in today’s audience, which allowed some images of the aggression to be projected but did not come into details about how much they will show them, according to The New York Times.
In the video, released by CNN last year and dating from March 2016, the also producer, with a towel rolled at the waist, runs behind Ventura in a hall of the Intercontinental hotel in the Century City area, in Los Angeles.

Casandra Ventura, known as Cassie, sued Comink, with whom it came out between 2007 and 2018, accusing him of physical violence and sexual abuse for supposedly having raped and beaten over a decade. The two achieved a monetary agreement a few days after submitting this legal complaint.
At today’s hearing, prosecutors also claimed to have offered ComBs a guilt agreement, which it rejected, although they did not come into details about said pact.
‘Diddy’, which is being held in a New York city prison without bail, is accused of several federal positions of organized crime, sex trafficking and transport for prostitution purposes, of which it has been declared not guilty. In recent months he has received dozens of complaints for alleged abuses.
