Waymo, a autonomous driving technology company owned by Alphabet, announced Monday that he withdraws his taxis from the center of Los Angeles for the protests that are being recorded in the city and in which five of his vehicles were burned.
“Waymo continues to operate in Los Angeles. However, by caution due to recent activity, we remove the vehicles from the center of Los Angeles and at the moment we will not serve in that specific area,” said a spokesman for the firm in a statement sent to EFE.
The company said it is working in coordination with the Los Angeles Police Department and following its indications.

Waymo’s autonomous taxis were burned on Sunday very close to where a peaceful demonstration was developed against migratory raids and the deployment of National Guard troops by the administration of Donald Trump.
A group of young people displaced by the Police undertook it against the vehicles, who moved through the iconic Placita Olvera, the foundation point of the city. At that time the cars were empty.
