Alphabet Shares up big after a federal court judge ruled Alphabet doesn’t have to give up Chrome, the leading web browser. U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta said: “Google will not be required to divest Chrome; nor will the court include a contingent divesture of the Android operating system in the final judgment. Plaintiffs overreached in seeking forced divesture of these key assets, which Google did not use to effect any illegal restraints.” Alphabet stock is now up nearly 20% year to date, including the after-hours move. The stock is up more than 50% since its April 7 low. The stock is up 19% since last reporting three months ago. Macy’s is down 20% in a year. The stock is down 25% from its December high. Salesforce The software giant reports after the bell tomorrow on “Closing Bell Overtime” with Jon Fortt and Morgan Brennan. Shares are down 3% in three months, down 15% in six months and down 24% so far in 2025. “Mad Money” man Jim Cramer will speak with founder and CEO Marc Benioff Wednesday night after the report comes out. CRM YTD mountain Salesforce shares year to date Mexico The head of Mexico’s stock exchange Jorge Alegria joins us live on “Squawk Box” tomorrow morning. Get a first hand look at how Mexico’s biggest companies are weathering the tariff threat. Right now Mexico’s exports to the U.S. are taxed at different rates depending on the category in which they fall. The iShares MSCI Mexico ETF (EWW) is right near its Aug. 22 — like 0.17% away. The EWW is up 5.55% in a month and 2.4% in the last week.
