The AI stocks in Cramerica: “Slow down” “Mad Money” man Jim Cramer made a bold call Tuesday night, calling the AI run into question. He cited several reasons for his big call. First up, there’s too much spending from AI companies. He thinks it’s too much, too fast. Second off, there’s a growing debt load. Once these companies start taking on a lot of debt to build, they become more vulnerable to a downturn and that means risk. Third, New Jersey-based AI infrastructure company CoreWeave cut its outlook . Cramer also brought up OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar’s comments last week, where she supported government backstops for data center build-outs and other AI infrastructure, before she said her comments were “muddled.” AMD shares are now 11% from an Oct. 29 high. Nvidia is 9% from its Oct. 29 high. Broadcom is 9% from its Oct. 29 high. Intel is 11% from its Oct. 28 high. Cramer still calls it the best story of the last several years, but he’s doing some rethinking.
